Job Desc:
- Overseeing daily cattle farm operations, including feeding, breeding, calving, health monitoring, and barn hygiene
- Implementing and improving livestock management practices in accordance with animal welfare and environmental sustainability standards
- Monitoring livestock health and ensuring the availability of quality feed, clean water, and safe barns
- Collaborate with veterinarians or trained personnel in administering vaccines, medications, and livestock health measures
- Manage breeding programs, monitor livestock growth, and optimize meat/milk production
- Identifying and treating signs of disease, injury, or stress in livestock and documenting them
- Maintaining farm facilities such as barns, fences, and grazing areas
- Training and mentoring junior livestock workers on livestock handling, biosecurity, and workplace safety
- Compiling and maintaining records on livestock, health, feed usage, and production performance
Qualifications:
- Willing to be placed in North Tapanuli, North Sumatra, and travel for work when necessary.
- Minimum education of Bachelor’s degree in Animal Husbandry, Agribusiness, or related majors.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in animal husbandry (cattle).
- Understanding of cattle maintenance management, livestock health, breeding, and calving processes
- Understanding of feed planning, cost management, and livestock budgeting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Diligent, disciplined, and highly committed to animal welfare
